These are photos from the opening night of the World Indoor Swim Championships in Indianapolis in October 2004. I went primarily to see Michael Phelps and he did not disappoint winning the gold in the IM. I have a few photos of him, but unfortunately, the photo of Larry Bird giving him his gold medal did not come out. The highlight of the evening however was Kaitlin Sandeno who won three gold medals in 75 minutes. I only have a few shots of her as I spent most of the evening watching instead of shooting.
